Imposter syndrome is real. No beginners are safe from it in any field or industry.
In government contracting, new govcons often feel like imposters because they haven’t won a government contract (yet) and they’re bidding trying to win their first.
If this is you, remind yourself that the first time anyone does anything, they are technically an imposter.
“Fake it till’ you make it” as it were.
Think of a brand-new real estate agent trying to get their first deal. Have they ever sold a house before? No. Are they capable of selling a house? Of course!
To be clear, I’m not suggesting that you conduct business without proper training. But anyone who would call you an imposter, was also once an imposter themselves.
