4 Systems Every New GovCon Business Needs

The use of systems (especially) for new government contractors is crucial because of the powerful leverage it affords them.

If the owner is the only employee or if it’s an owner with a spouse/business partner dynamic, the business needs all the support it can get.

Here are 4 systems that every new govcon business needs.

System 1- Prospecting System for SAM.gov: An automated (and manual) series of searches for finding bid opportunities you might want to pursue.

System 2- Qualifying System: A predetermined way of vetting opportunities to prevent emotional decision making and so that you don’t invest further resources into poor bid matches.

System 3- Bidding System: A step by step process used repeatedly for approaching every bid you respond to.

System 4- Winning System: An owner should follow a path that has already been proven to win contracts rather than trying to reinvent the wheel.

Starting doing more with less using these 4 systems.

I’ve written more about the use of these systems as well as the 5 phases of bidding in this post: https://bit.ly/3Regu86

My biggest problem is execution. I would like a step by step on bidding, spread sheets, and pricing. Also filing taxes. I have gone through more certifications than I can handle. I’m 58 years old and just discovered the sam. gov data base. I have my EUI, cage, duns, ein and vendors number. I’m a one person business. I also would like info on hiring people to do work. (Accounting , research and marketing)I have no money now. I went through $122,00 trying to invest in opportunities to make money. Below are a few:

Affiliated marketing

You Tube

Hand crafted wreath

Selling candy and Chips

Now my husband and I, both on social security are facing the possibility of moving…
